Limeade (Lime & Pink Lemonade)
Name: ***** (5 Stars)
Very nice combination of flavor names. I like it.
Appearance: ***** (5 Stars)
Pink and green. Lovin' it, lovin' it.
Smell: **** (4 Stars)
Nice smell.
Taste: **** (4 Stars)
I was expecting not to like this one, and I did. Still, not enough for a five-star rating.
Would I order this flavor again?
Probably not.
Overall Rating: 4 1/2 Stars.

Lover's Delight (Passion Fruit & Guava)
Name: ***** (5 Stars)
I think this name is just splendid. Passion Fruit and Guava just seem like a "Lover's Delight" type of flavor mix. (Did that sentence make sense?) What is it about Guava that makes it seem like a sexy-type of flavor? Like, if the flavors came to life after we shut up the Tropical Sno shop, I would picture Guava being the high-maintenance diva type... Kind of like Ginger in Gilligan's Island.
Ok, that's something fun to think about - the Tropical Sno flavors pulling a Beauty and the Beast after hours. I could talk for a long time about this subject... but I won't. :)
Appearance: **** (4 Stars)
Guava is kind of reddish pink... then with the yellow, it looks quite nice. Four stars.
Smell: **** (4 Stars)
You get a lot of that strong Guava scent. It's so... weird... not bad weird, but... weird.
Taste: **** (4 Stars)
Lover's Delight is good. A lot of people love this flavor, but, while I did enjoy it, I don't really get what all the fuss is about. It gets a solid 4 stars, but I definitely wouldn't consider it a 5-star flavor.
Would I order this flavor again?
Nah...

Mai Tai (Pineapple, Lemon, & Orange)
Name: ***** (5 Stars)
I think a Mai Tai-themed Tropical Sno is a lovely idea and goes along with the flavors quite well. Wikipedia said that, in the 50's and 60's basically every tiki-themed restaurant served Mai Tais, and (this fact is going to blow your mind) the "Mai Tai was prominently featured in the Elvis Presley film 'Blue Hawaii'." Um... what! Blue Hawaii! Like the Tropical Sno flavor...? Woah. Not to mention, Elvis Presley... if he was in a movie with Mai Tais, then they are fine with me. He's like... the epitome of cool.
Appearance: ***** (5 Stars)
Orange and yellow... very Tropical Sno.
Smell: **** (4 Stars)
Very good, very pleasant. Pineapple is fantastic.
Taste: **** (4 Stars)
Not my favorite. But still really good. Very fruity. I actually think if juice companies mixed these three fruits together, it would make a quite excellent juice (if they haven't already). Anyway, I say 4 stars for Mai Tai's taste.
Would I order this flavor again?
There are a lot more that I would get first.
Overall Rating: 4 1/2 Stars

I don't get the Lovers' Delight craze either. I'm always surprised by how many people order this.
ReplyDeleteAnd your comments made me wonder what would be in an Elvis flavored Tro Sno. Can you name one 'the Elvis' or are there legal restrictions about something like that?
I bet it would be like... I don't know. Grape and something else. Grape and Blue Raspberry, maybe? Or Grape and Coconut... I don't know.
